Health Careers Opportunity Program - Program Evaluator
Summary:
D’Youville University’s School of Health Professions is seeking a dedicated Project Manager for the Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP), funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration. This program aims to assist individuals from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds in the Buffalo and rural Western New York region to enter and graduate from health professions programs. The Project Manager will implement and manage all aspects of the DYU HCOP project, focusing on improving recruitment, retention, and graduation rates through targeted enrichment programs.
Responsibilities:
- Select, supervise, train, and evaluate program staff.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners.
- Coordinate and facilitate HCOP project meetings for staff, students, families, and community stakeholders.
- Conduct academic needs assessments and develop corrective action plans.
- Manage public relations activities and ensure ongoing dissemination of program information.
- Oversee fiscal planning to ensure compliance with federal and university regulations.
- Maintain accurate program records, documentation, and evaluation processes.
- Prepare annual performance reports for HRSA, partners, and the university.
- Manage the HCOP website, social media accounts, and program communications.
- Process budget transactions, requisitions, and purchase orders.
- Travel regionally and nationally as needed.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree (PhD preferred) in health professions, administration, education, or a related field.
- Understanding and sensitivity to the academic, economic, and cultural needs of disadvantaged students and families.
- Experience in teaching and/or administration in K-16 or post-secondary education.
- Proven skills in fiscal management, proposal writing, grant-funded programming, and evaluation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population in terms of culture, age, and educational background.

Pay: $10,000.00 - $16,000.00 Annually ($20/hour)

The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate. Faculty rank will be commensurate with education and qualifications.
