Summary:
D’Youville’s Patricia H. Garman School of Nursing is seeking an outstanding candidate for a tenure-earning position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank. This role will provide leadership in teaching, service, and scholarly activity within our dynamic nursing program.
Responsibilities:- Teaching using a variety of active learning strategies tailored to meet diverse student learning styles, including lectures, lab/clinical instruction, online, and hybrid formats.
- Engaging in scholarship as defined by the Boyer model, encompassing teaching, discovery, application, implementation, and engagement.
- Participating in service activities that support D’Youville University, the nursing profession, and the community.
- Regular activities include holding office hours, attending departmental and college-wide meetings, mentoring students, and serving on committees.
Requirements:
- Earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or an appropriate accrediting body.
- Unencumbered license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in New York, or eligibility for licensure in New York.
- Demonstrated advanced practice experience is required for appointment to either undergraduate or graduate programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (2-3 years preferred).
- Five years of academic experience in nursing in higher education, with a record of teaching, service, and research for Associate Professor rank.
- Demonstrated beginning level of scholarly activity for Assistant Professor rank, with a strong level of scholarship for Associate Professor rank.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Focus on student success and engagement.
- Expertise in nursing with an emphasis on innovative pedagogy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and provide effective instruction across multiple degree programs.
- Participation in accreditation activities and strategic planning initiatives to enhance nursing education.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $78,000.00 Annually

The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate. Faculty rank will be commensurate with education and qualifications.
