Community Counseling Center - Training Administrator
Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with administrative and training experience to serve as the Training Administrator for the new D’Youville Community Counseling Center. This full-time, staff role will oversee the daily administrative operations of the training clinic, including using JANE the EHR system, being the emergency clinical backup for mental health counseling practicum students, and collaborating with other university departments and community partners for patient recruitment and care delivery.
Responsibilities:
Clinic Administration
- Operational oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including patient recruitment, intake, scheduling, records management, and JANE
- Policy implementation: Work in collaboration with CMHC, PsyD, Student Affairs, to develop, implement, and enforce clinic policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and ethical standards, such as HIPAA, and ensure accreditation requirements are met.
- Financial management (tentative): Oversee clinic budgets, expenses, and revenue cycles to ensure financial stability
- Quality assurance: Monitor patient flow, improve service delivery, and lead quality assurance and improvement projects to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Interdepartmental liaison: Serve as a liaison between clinic staff, trainees, faculty, student affairs and other D’Youville departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration for mental health care for patients.
- Community liaison: Serve as a liaison between D’Youville and the community to promote the community counseling center and recruit patients for student training sessions for CMHC.
- Training Coordination: In collaboration with the Clinical Director for the CMHC program, provide logistical supports for students and interns, ensuring there are appropriate patient referrals to meet the student learning needs. Work with individual programs for student performance feedback as needed.
- Trainee Supervision: In collaboration with the Clinical Director for the CMHC program, provide direct and/or indirect clinical and administrative supervision to student trainees, guiding their professional development. Provide on-site supervision for students if needed.
- Electronic Health Record - JANE: Work collaboratively with all incoming CMHC practicum students to train them on Jane.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor in NYS or eligible for licensure.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Demonstrated administrative & training experience, preferably within a training clinic or academic medical center.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or specific training in integrated care or working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Experience managing training programs, including familiarity with relevant accreditation standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 Annually
